Arctic Research
In the summer of 2019, I spent a month in the Arctic conducting field research for a material flux study with the Naval Academy Polar Science & Technology program. The internship was based out of the remote Toolik Field Station on the Alaskan North Slope. Daily operations involved wading into tundra and mountain streams to measure turbulence and flow rate, operating drones to create 3D models of the terrain, and collecting water samples for chemical analysis. The data collected culminated into forming my final research project at the end of 1/C (senior) year.
